Designed by Elliat Rich, Weaver is slightly more creature than object. Intertwining utility with narrative, Weaver showcases the different perspectives of Australian design, celebrating the unique art form and imagination of the designer.

FSC certified solid oak timber shelves and aluminium handles with 2-pack polyurethane finish. Hand-dyed, UV-stable nylon fringe.

Elliat Rich is an artist, producer, researcher, experimenter and resource developer, plus other modes of practice that all sit within the role of designer. She is based within the complex and enriching socio-bio-historical ecology of Mparntwe Alice Springs. For Rich the design process is a creative translation between materials and culture, alive to a broader context of power and social value. Lead by curiosity, enriched through wonder and always calling on the possibilities of the imagination.

Through these cabinets, Elliat Rich continues her exploration of the mythological entity, Weaver.

Design By Them acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora nation (Alexandria studio) and the Cabrogal people of the Darug Nation (Yennora Warehouse) as the Traditional Custodians of the ancestral homelands upon which our company locations are situated.
