Featuring the original design's signature flexible metal spine, Ribs Bench Outdoor continues to be simultaneously functional and interactive with its unique sculptural form. Originally designed in 1998, Ribs Bench Outdoor with its new aluminium form can withstand outdoor weather conditions yet remain light and movable. A fixed spine is available for high traffic commercial areas.

Stefan Lie is one of Australia's leading contemporary designers whose work is included in private and public collections such as the Power House Museum in Sydney. Stefan's work displays an ability to provide a fresh, intuitive take on common domestic objects with a strong emphasis on simple shapes and elegant, pared-back forms. He draws on more than 15 years experience in designing products ranging from furniture and homewares to footwear and jewellery. Alongside his design practice, Lie has an ongoing role as a lecturer and research academic at the University of Technology Sydney.
