Christina Bricknell + Gibson Karlo
Christina Bricknell is a furniture designer and maker based in Melbourne, Australia. Upon graduating from the ANU School of Art, Christina established her design studio, which focuses on exploring human, object and material interactions to create dynamic, sculptural and tactile pieces.

"With Olio we wanted to create an armchair that made you feel enclosed and comfortable but still felt open, light and inviting. The round and swept profiles each relate to specific contact points on the body and are positioned to provide optimal lumbar and back support. Aesthetically minimal, we wanted to ensure that Olio would retain a sense of personality and timelessness."
