A study in contrast, Press juxtaposes pillowy upholstered forms against a solid timber frame work. Equally comfortable and functional as they are sculptural, the collection is a dialogue between strength and softness.

Upholstered commercial grade CAL 117 foam, FSC white oak frame.

Curated Upholstery Materials:
- Kvadrat Autumn: 100% recycled polyester
- Maharam Merit: 76% post-consumer recycled polyester, 24% polyester
- Kvadrat Febrik Planum: 44% new wool 42% polyester 14% nylon
- Kvadrat Sahco Safire: 43% viscose 17% polyacrylic 15% new wool 9% cotton 8% polyester 8% linen
- Kvadrat Coda 2: 90% new wool 10% nylon

Truly Truly is a Dordrecht (NL) based design studio. It was founded by husband-and-wife design team Joel Booy (Australia 1981) & Kate Booy (Australia 1981). There is a focus on designing thoughtful products for the living environment that combine function with sensuality, and which result from an urge to question and invigorate the way people use and perceive objects. The studio employs art as an avenue to push the boundaries for themselves and for others.

"For a long time we have been interested in sculpting upholstery with a simple gesture of pressure. In the Press lounge, we explore this theme with the involvement of wood, which lends a functional and aesthetic visual play. The softness of the upholstery is exaggerated by the brutality and rigidity of the timber. This juxtaposition is key to the drama of the collection."

Design By Them acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora nation (Alexandria studio) and the Cabrogal people of the Darug Nation (Yennora Warehouse) as the Traditional Custodians of the ancestral homelands upon which our company locations are situated.
