A study in contrast, Press by Joel Booy & Kate Booy juxtaposes pillowy upholstered forms against a solid timber frame work. A dialogue between strength and softness, the new Press Armchair and Press Bench are equally comfortable and functional as they are sculptural.

“For a long time we have been interested in sculpting upholstery with a simple gesture of pressure. In the Press pieces, we explore this theme with the involvement of wood, which lends a functional and aesthetic visual play. The softness of the upholstery is exaggerated by the brutality and rigidity of the timber. This juxtaposition is key to the drama of the collection."

Featuring french seamed cushions and a generous seat depth, Press is constructed from commercial grade CAL 117 foam and FSC solid oak, available in a premium range of Kvadrat and Maharam textiles.
