MEET JASON JU
Jason is an Industrial Designer based in Sydney. His designs focus on refined aesthetics and detailing. Before joining DBT in 2015, he graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney and built experience in engineering, manufacturing and fabrication.
As an Australian Designer of South Korean descent, Jason hopes to represent and inspire other designers of different backgrounds to be more involved in the mainstream Australian furniture industry."
"I was drawn to the idea of creating a ‘billowing’ form, something visually plush and generous, reminiscent of soft-serve ice cream or clouds – hence the name. The ideation was a balance between sculpting soft, inviting curves and engineering a robust internal frame." - Jason Ju
The Sundae Collection is internally crafted from commercial-grade CAL 117 foam and FSC plywood for comfort and longevity. The collection is available in our wide range of house fabrics by Kvadrat Maharam.
