DesignByThem is launching their Australian furniture and accessories collection at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City in May 2015. They will be showcasing their range to the North American market following growing popularity in Australia.

A leader in Australian design, DesignByThem takes inspiration from the vibrant Australian urban and natural landscape to create a collection featuring a palette of vibrant colours, a mix of natural and industrial materials and an emphasis on refined details.

"We feel the Australian lifestyle and products are something the North American market will love." says director Sarah Gibson. "Our products offer flexibility between the indoor and outdoor environments as well as a blend between commercial and residential spaces".

"We believe all products should be designed with the same values in mind - durability, a sense of fun, timelessness and sustainability" says Gibson. "Maintaining these values in our collection promotes the flexibility between spaces."

For example, the Butter Range of recycled plastic furniture is designed to be waterproof and UV stable. The range is equally comfortable in an outdoor cafe as it is around a dining table.

Another example is the Partridge Range of solid timber furniture, which is equally popular in offices and food courts as it is at the kitchen counter.

The collection also features a range of outdoor accessories in bold colours. The Dial Hose Hanger has been particularly popular with online American customers since its launch in 2014.

DesignByThem will be partnering with retailers and agents in the lead up to ICFF in May and look forward to showcasing their work to the American people.

Meet the DesignByThem team at ICFF at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan on May 16 - 19, booth 0862.

Nick and Sarah began DesignByThem in 2007. Their playful furniture and lighting is available through DesignByThem and selected retailers. The collection is continually expanding to include the work of other Australian designers.
