Behind its minimal design, Olio is carefully constructed with hidden fixings to allow the appearance of a floating lumbar and headrest. In addition to the ergonomics and comfort, the armchair is designed for future sustainability, allowing its owner to easily reupholster or replace parts after a long period of use.

CHRISTINA BRICKNELL
Christina Bricknell is a furniture designer and maker based in Melbourne, Australia. Upon graduating from the ANU School of Art, Christina established her design studio, which focuses on exploring human, object and material interactions to create dynamic, sculptural and tactile pieces. When not in the studio, Christina lectures and tutors process-driven furniture design at the University of Melbourne. -
GIBSON KARLO
Designers Sarah Gibson and Nicholas Karlovasitis established DesignByThem in 2007 after graduating as Industrial Designers at the University of Technology Sydney. As co-directors and industrial designers, the two design products for DesignByThem and have grown the company to include a curated collection of furniture, accessories and lighting from a stellar cohort of Australian designers.
