About The Role


You will be part of a team in charge of coordinating the smooth delivery of projects and business operations. The role is a mix of working autonomously as well as closely with all other team members. Being part of a small growing business, you will be encouraged to suggest improvements and implement changes. We value input from all team members and enjoy working together to achieve our goals.

The main purpose of this role is to assist with a mix of workshop and warehouse activities. with the best possible experience and to allow the sales and production teams to work more efficiently. This role was previously split between different team members and as we continue to grow we see the benefits of making this a dedicated role in order to provide a higher level of service.


Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure warehouse operations and OH&S protocols are maintained.

  • Furniture assembly (experience in manufacturing assembly and/or upholstering required).

  • Stock picking and packing (includes palletising orders).

  • Receiving and dispatching of goods.

  • Unloading containers with the production team.

  • Maintaining and organising the warehouse.

  • Pick up supplies, components and stock from local suppliers.

  • Organise and occasionally deliver orders to customers around Sydney using a company van or a small automatic truck (full car drivers license required).

  • Work with casual assembly staff.

  • Forklift license is ideal but not essential.

  • Occasionally go to the worksites if required.

  • Opportunity to operate CNC machine with training and to skill up.

  • Prepare orders.

  • Escalate any quality issues to the production team.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Be an excellent communicator, well presented and with a great phone and email manner.

  • Organised with a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to create new initiatives and implement strategies to improve operations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have good communication skills.

  • A consistently solid work ethic.

  • Able to work well as part of a dedicated team.

  • Abilities to prioritise and multitask on a daily basis.

  • Valid working visa and driver's license.

  • Experience working in the furniture or construction industry.

  • Quick learner and open to further training and career development.

  • Down to earth, fun and ambitious.
