Designed by multi-disciplinary designer, Elliat Rich, Weaver Cabinet showcases the different perspectives of Australian design. A credenza that is slightly more creature than object, Weaver adds a whimsical and interactive touch to storage functionality.
Based in the Australian outback in Alice Springs, Elliat’s practice covers a broad spectrum of design including cross-cultural resources, exhibition design, public art and furniture, product development and editioned objects. “I'm really interested in mythology as a way of nesting material culture with our observations and knowledge of the planet. Made in Australia, Weaver is a sculptural, striking and animated addition to any entryway or living space. Bringing a sense of discovery, the design features crafted solid timber shelving enclosed by handwoven fringing as an alternative to traditional doors.
