Choosing The Right Height

The DesignByThem Bar Seating range offers a variety of indoor/outdoor styles for elevated dining. Our Piper and Bobby bar stools, are now available in 650mm and 690mm seat heights. Here is a quick guide to help you choose the right DBT bar seat height for your space.

Counter: 650 mm seat height
Bar: 690 mm seat height

We generally recommend 250-350 mm between the seat and the underside of the table top for comfortable sitting. Please note that these measurements are a guide in relation to DesignByThem bar seating products only. We recommend measuring your space carefully before purchasing.

Upholstered Seat Pads

Our bar seating range is customisable with upholstered fabric/vinyl/leather seat pads. These will add 40 mm to the seat height, compressing by approximately 30 mm max. when used.
